This policy explains what personal information Women of the Earth collects, why, and how it's used, whenever you browse our site, register as a member, or make a donation.
Information we collect
Members provide their name, email address, and a password when registering, along with any bio, photo, or fundraiser details they choose to add. Donors provide their name and email address, and choose the amount they'd like to give.
Payments
All donations are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — they're handled entirely on Stripe's servers. We keep a record of the donation amount, date, and the donor name/email/message you provide, so we can issue a receipt and keep fundraiser totals accurate.
How we use your information
- To create and manage member accounts and fundraiser pages
- To process donations and send confirmation receipts
- To respond to messages sent via our contact form
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse
Sharing your information
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share what's necessary with Stripe to process payments, and otherwise only where required by law.
Your rights
You can update your member profile at any time from your member area.
You can also delete your account at any time from your member area (My Profile → Delete my account). This immediately removes your name, email address, profile photo and bio. Any fundraiser pages you've published are taken down straight away.
Fundraiser and donation records are kept on file in anonymized form (no longer linked to your name or contact details) to meet our accounting and legal record-keeping obligations.
